Mad Gravity Free Soundfiles
As an upstart recording studio, we're striving to provide an ever-expanding library of original-content audio tracks, but we can also create made-to-order audio for video, gaming, podcasts, or other uses. These are a few of the pieces we've created, which will give you a small glimpse of the range of styles we can produce. All works on this page are Creative Commons License - use them as you see fit, because there are no copyrights. These types of works will be identified in the description. You will also find "Donation" buttons on our site. These are absolutely not required, but are truly and deeply appreciated. If you are in need of custom sound files, please go to our contact page and let us know what you're looking for. We'd be glad to help, and are up to the challenge.

Phrygian Fog
Written in the G Phrygian scale, this piece has a dark and mysterious feel. This would be a unique and memorable soundtrack for an opening-credits roll for your next film. (Creative Commons License)

Nocturne in C maj
Step back into the 19th century and listen to this classically-inspired piece. This would be a perfect audio track for a nature video, but it also has many other possibilities. (Creative Commons License)

Apocalyptabop
The sounds used conjure an image of a world similar to the one in the Police song "When the World is Running Down", a world where what there is is all there is. (Creative Commons License)

Minor Key Serenity
This is a smooth rhythm track that would be nice behind slow, sweeping views of natures beauty. No "solo" or melody line has been recorded, so you can make suggestions as to what you would like for your project (including instrument voice and feel that you're looking for) or overdub your own!. Who Dunnit?
This is another of our tracks we feel would be excellent audio behind an opening credit roll, or scene changes in a game.
The haunting melody is written in harmonic minors, which gives it an odd and mysterious feel.

Project 323
This track is a rhythm section that has a funky feel in the bass line and the rhythm guitar (downloaded on Freesound.org), yet the flow of the piece is maintained by the smooth sound of the keyboards. A disjunct violin melody works in the background to give it an interesting "poppy" quality.

Crucible
It has a dark feel, somewhat uneasy. Strings picking a haunting staccato (I love those things). Power chords accenting boldly as the lead guitar adds to the dissonance of the rhythm behind.
I see this as an opening credit or a transition track, maybe in-game audio, etc. You decide. There's also room for you to add your touch to make it into what you hear it as. (Creative Commons)

Incantation
This piece was inspired by this clip, and I give a huge thank you to the creator! Here's the info:

Which Way (On the Verge)
There are staccato strings over a somber, rhythmic flow that gives it a somewhat disjunctive feel as they follow that flow, as intermittent wah-wah effects portray extraneous considerations.
The instability of circumstance versus the persistence of goal. (Creative Commons)

Liquid Gravity
Big thank you to Liquid_Tribal for the two great clips I downloaded from him for the intro to the piece:

RP01 - percloop 140 by Liquid_Tribal -- https://freesound.org/s/593699/ -- License: Attribution 3.0
These two clips together made for a rhythm that inspired me to add the MGS sound to them. I've added a drum track, asimple F Aeolian melody and a deep F minor arpeggio to give it some depth.

Slapdash
I can see this as an opening-credit soundtrack for a slick, offbeat, nerdy kind of film with an aggressive yet positive edge. The randomness of the sounds used and the way they fall into a rhythm gives it an odd energy that prepares the viewer for what is to follow. Listen to this piece a few times, and focus on the background sounds and how they lead into each change.
This could also be used as a backing track for a dance troupe as a part of an overall performance.
Purpose
I see this as an intro piece for a video, etc. It feels to me to have elements of persistence and strength, will some questions as to what is to come. The percussion creates swift movement in the beginning and carries it, undaunted, throughout. Voices in harmony are the human will continuing that movement, persistent and determined, against the overtones of the uncertain.

Shady (Loop)
This is a jazz loop that gives a feel similar to that of Film Noir, or the spy and detective movies of the 40's & 50's. It has a misty, secretive aura that would play well as background. This free loop is a rhythm-only track, so you can download it and work your own magic with it. If you prefer, there is a finished track available in our shop that includes a melody and supporting instrumentation that only add to the feel of this version.

Shady (Faded)
This is the same track as the loop, but the ending is struck with a final chord, that fades out to the end of the piece. It is a rhythm-only track, same as above. If you prefer, there is a finished track available in our shop. That version includes a melody and supporting instrumentation that add to the feel.
